Two years of neglect, where do I even start with my Mustang?
Bought a 2017 Mustang GT when I first moved out here and I’ll be honest, I’ve been terrible to it cosmetically. It’s a daily, it sits outside, and the black paint is now a mess of swirls, water spots and a few bird dropping etchings on the roof that I’ve been ignoring for way too long. The interior isn’t much better, the leather has that shiny worn look and there’s dust in every vent from the desert. I’ve finally decided to sort it out properly before the value drops any further. A few people have pointed me toward Reliable Ford detailing from Exotic Car Care, and from what I can tell they actually take their time rather than rushing through, which is what I want. My main worry is that the paint is too far gone and I’ll be quoted for a full correction I can’t afford right now. Should I get an assessment first before committing, and do places like that usually give honest advice about what’s realistic? I’d rather know the truth than have someone slap on a glaze that hides everything for a month.
